ISLANDS OFF CARIA, Kalymnos. Circa 260/50-205 BC. Didrachm (Silver, 19 mm, 6.56 g, 7 h). Male head to right, wearing crested Attic helmet. Rev. KAΛYMNION Kithara with six strings and tiny I within top inner curves. Boston MFA 2009. Höghammar Type 1, dies 1/1. SNG Copenhagen 602. SNG von Aulock 2741. A beautifully toned example. Minor old marks, otherwise, good very fine.

From an old Viennese collection, formed in the 1950s and 1960s and in 3rd generation family possession since.
